Shatta wale has been drawing negative attention and tainting his name after changing his name from BANDANA to SHATTA WALE. The self-proclaimed dancehall king has achieved a lot of greatness and also done a lot of good works but it seems to be shadowed by his habiting of continually showing off his bad side. A lot of people are condemning him and calling him names especially after the VGMA 2019 clash with StoneBwoy but the question is what is the music industry really doing about the so-called unacceptable behavior of the SM Boss? Are they doing their best or has anything been done at all?
Just like Kwaw Kesse, Mzbel, Ebony, Yaa Jackson and many more whose behavior and character were also being questioned by almost everybody, but what did the music industry really do about it. Were they fined or punished by any means? It is as if anything and everything is acceptable in the music industry. Whatever you do that will get you the fame and make you achieve your goal, you can do it without really being troubled by the leaders or authorities.
If the music industry has laws that punish or deal with people with certain unacceptable behaviors then they should implement it now. It is about time they convince the public that anything and everything is not acceptable in the music industry but until then our problem wouldn’t only be shatta wale because there are many others who will be coming to the scene with more controversial characters than that of shatta wale.
The public might be doing their best to punish them by not voting for them to win certain awards but the greatest responsibilities lie with the authorities of the music industry. Musicians with such attitudes or behavior should be punished in a way that they will lose something valuable especially money and awards and other things they think it’s important to them. The music industry should do more than they are doing now to make both the public and the musicians understand that the show business is not only about the what the artiste get but also what the public or listeners get.
